About Us
Surf N Sand is a longtime family-owned business that has evolved over the decades into your ultimate source for beer, wine, and spirits, along with all the necessary extras. Ryan Sanchez, grandson of the store’s early owner, took over and used his business savvy and years of experience — including launching his own tequila company — to transform the former general store and pharmacy into the go-to spot for the finest products at reasonable prices, along with hard-to-find and highly allocated items. We are a dedicated part of our unique village on the coast and are equally dedicated to getting you whatever you need, and we love hosting events and holding tastings in the store, too. And don’t forget to ask Ryan about his tequila, El Jefe.

Surf N Sand offers outside bar catering services for private parties, weddings, corporate parties, birthdays and other events of any size. Whether you need a full setup that includes the bar itself, along with the bartender and all the products, or you simply need an expert mixologist to ensure your guests get exactly what they want to drink, we have you covered. WINE TASTING BAR
In a quirky town notorious for its strict rules, including limiting wine tasting to Monterey County wineries and requiring people who wear high heels to have a permit, Surf N Sand holds a tasting license that is now impossible to obtain, because it is does not restrict the origins of what we can pour, so we can open wines and beers from all over the world. We host incredible $5 tastings the second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m., and offer special discounts on the featured products. Mocktail parties with high-end nonalcoholic drinks and weekly tastings are in the works, so stay tuned!
